What Will You Do With Your Canvas?

CanvasHave you ever thought about the work of an artist when they have completed a new painting?  Each artist begins with a blank canvas.  Over time, with thousands of brush strokes, mixing and matching the right colors, hours of work, and a good imagination, a completed painting becomes reality, (a work of art).  A visual or thought of what the artist had in their mind before they ever started their creative journey.  A city scene, person, countryside or maybe even an abstract painting, the finished work was completed because of a vision.

Just like the artist who uses a multitude of tools and colors along with imagination to complete their work, you are no different.  Although you may not use paint and brushes to organize or complete your process, running a business or working for someone else provides you with a blank canvas to paint everyday as you go to work.  What you do with that canvas is up to you.  You can be as creative as you choose and implement ideas to develop something special.  Or, you can choose to leave the canvas alone, and do nothing with your painting for today.  The choice is yours!

Today is a new day for you to pull out your canvas.  Today’s calendar is a blank board for you to paint.  Think of your daily work as a day to create that artwork others can see and you can share for many years to come.  The canvas you paint is not just for work, but for family, friends and even strangers.  It’s your chance to offer a visual – (painting) to help make a positive impact on someone else’s life.

Create a painting so others can be encouraged and see something special in your life.

I paint objects as I think them, not as I see them. ~Pablo Picasso

How to Create a Customized Bookshelf in iBooks for Your iPad

Here is a short video tutorial on how to create customized bookshelves in iBooks for your iPad.  Better yet, I created this short video entirely with my iPad!  That’s right, all of the screenshots, audio and uploading to YouTube were performed with a new $2.99 app I downloaded called “Explain Everything.”  It’s a very cool app that has many useful applications for business professionals, especially for “explaining things.”

Let me know what you think of this app and video on creating a customized bookshelf.
